Scott, I've always been an Ebert man, so that assessment sounds about right to me.
Thanks Kathy. On paper, it appears to be a long coffee break. But if you consider how cracklingly quick and fleeting thoughts can be, especially when coffee is involved, it works out to be about a can's worth of cogitation. As for the taste. Hmmm. Kind of like caramel water.
Personally, I think the Tim Burton's "Batman" is the best, with "Superman" a close second.
So, do Japanese canned coffees tend to use Robusta or Arabica beans? I'm guessing Robusta.

OK, I'm drinking chai right now, which is cheating, but had to report that when we were at the library the other day, Ursi requested a particular movie (The Parent Trap, for some reason), which the librarian couldn't find.
The End
Just kidding. The helpful librarian pulled Spiderman 2 off the shelf --"Ya ever seen this?" (I mentally noted the coincidence, since I'd read your review the a day or so ago). I never know what Ursi is going to like or think is bunkum, but she shrugged her approval, saying "sureyssplease,"
in a way she has that is just polite enough for me not to nag her on the spot.
She and her friend just watched it, and in spite of my feeble effort to stay focused on my important grown-up activities -- hard to do in a 12' x 12' cabin -- (I'm still dreaming that table I'll someday have room for, too!)
I did hold out to about where Peter is telling an elderly woman the truth about a tragic event concerning an Uncle Ben(?), then was sucked in, (Oh, what the heck! I'd have been drawn in even if our house was big; I love a story)
misting up (AGAIN!) in at least two very silly places, mostly enjoying the close-ups of P.Parker's dreamy tortured face.
While clutching at each other in terror for the well being of half of New York (especially spidey), we had fun saying things like: "Oh, don't worry, he'll just make a Super Spider Jump now and they'll be safe." Etc.
Did you know that Alfred Molina, who plays Oct., is the actor who played Indy Jones's assistant who betrrays him in the cave at the beg. of Lost Ark? He's also the Mayor of the little French village in "Chocolat." Pop culture central here.
Coffee or no coffee, you have my vote for the most agile brain this side of the vending machine. I said that in hopes you'll send me some coffee to review.
PS Iam a worm of the earth, but...
Scott -- uh, I'm pretty sure they use coffee beans, dude.
OK, Jenny, that satisfying comment earned you the right to receive and review a can of coffee from us here at cc.com.
And isn't the guy who plays the newspaper editor a native of Missoula, MT?

Cool!
& I thought I recognized the newpaper editor--but I thought it was from another movie--? Maybe it was just that I bought Lemonheads from him at Grizzly Grocery.
Wow, being a literary-branch-style-site, likely to be the only place to actually appreciate contemporary grammar use in cinema, and discussing Spiderman 2... my favourite moment of the film is when the two chillun give Spidey his mask back, and give themselves a loophole saying "Don't worry mister, we won't tell nobody."
"Spiderman 2" is really good. Roger Ebert calls it the best superhero movie ever made.
That was one helluva long coffee break, David. Great writing...and I'm assuming, great coffee too.

Nice, nice, nice one.
